"People came to me asking for a good, wide skiff."

                                                     - Clark Mills, 1976

Clark Mills designed the Lands end 14 foot skiff in the late 1960's to be a good all round bay boat.  The dimensions are 14 feet long by 6 feet 6 inches wide. It is a modified "V" design with a modified flat bottom. This provides a stable platform for fishing or just messing about in your boat.  The flat bottom makes it plane easily and allows it to go in shallow water.  The "V" bow lets it take waves well and the full bow lifts the bow when you go through one wave and onto the next wave.  The low freeboard makes it easy to get in and out of the boat, whether you are fishing, swimming, diving or just shelling.    The wide beam makes it stable so that the boat does not heel too much when you go near the side of the boat.

We have built about 30 custom boats out of our hull mold over the past 30 years and have had everything from 5 hp to 100 hp outboard motors on various boats.  Although models will plane with a 15 hp, we recommend a 25 - 75 hp outboard motor range.  We have built models with both bench seats and center consoles.  We own a mold for a center console, specifically designed for the Lands End 14.

Lands End Marina, Inc. obtained the design rights and mold from Clark Mills when he was alive in the early 1980s.

We are looking to partner with a builder to produce a production line based on the design or to lease or sell the design rights and mold to an individual or builder.  We will consult using our years of experience with these great boats and we would like to see it continue to be marketed as a Clark Mills design.  This is an opportunity to work with a timeless design that cannot be improved upon.
The old mold is available for use.

The mold and design rights are for sale for $10,000.00.
